Assistant Project Manager - Data Center Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support projects from estimating through client acceptance, while guiding and developing project team members. The initial assignment is in New Mexico, with the option to move to Denver after project completion.

Responsibilities

• Support estimating, scheduling, cost control, and project financial documentation.
• Assist with client proposals, contract administration, subcontract awards, project buyout, and trade coordination.
• Guide project team members and manage subcontractor and supplier performance.
• Promote safe, timely delivery and implement project quality plans.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of related experience and demonstrated ability to support complex projects.
• Current driver’s license; intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web application skills.
• Working knowledge of construction law and standard business practices, with strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $102,000–$137,700, with location-based adjustments for certain offices. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
