General Superintendent - Data Center Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking a General Superintendent to direct field operations and coordinate site teams across multiple projects or large, complex construction projects.

Project Details

The role is focused on data center construction. Mortenson also works across markets including sports, renewable energy, and healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction activities, materials, equipment, inspections, and site logistics to support project schedules.
• Partner with project managers on labor, equipment, materials, and budget forecasts.
• Lead project schedules, look-ahead planning, site utilization, and crew planning.
• Guide field teams through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Implement the site safety program and address union and open-shop matters.
• Lead site meetings, build working relationships with project stakeholders, and contribute to monthly project reviews.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil or architectural engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience; or 10 years of trade experience.
• At least 14 years of construction management or related experience is listed as a qualification.
• Knowledge of construction practices, attention to accurate labor, safety, and quality reporting, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Familiarity with labor, financial, safety, quality, scheduling, and planning systems.
• Current driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $178,800-$268,200, with location-based adjustments for certain offices. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
