MEP Superintendent - Data Center Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an MEP Superintendent to oversee field coordination and delivery of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work on data center projects. The role is available at levels I and II and can be based in Lincoln or Omaha, Nebraska, or Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Project Details

Lead MEP work on multiple, complex data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, and supervise MEP scopes while working with project partners and design engineers.
• Track materials, equipment, inspections, and project schedules, including three- and six-week look-ahead plans.
• Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability, and resolve plan discrepancies.
• Develop site logistics plans, manage company tools and equipment, and support customer relationships.

Required Experience

• At least eight years of construction experience, including two years in a supervisory role; mechanical or electrical contractor experience is preferred.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in construction or a related engineering field, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Ability to manage responsibilities across multiple complex data center projects.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, a current driver’s license, and knowledge of construction documents and basic construction law.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $111,400–$167,100 for MEP Superintendent I and $130,100–$195,200 for MEP Superintendent II. The role is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
