Assistant Project Manager - National Travel (December Grad)

Job Summary

Interstates is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for a December graduate to support industrial electrical, controls, automation, instrumentation, and engineering projects. This entry-level leadership role offers hands-on experience, mentoring, and a path toward Project Manager responsibilities.

Project Details

Projects are located at customer sites throughout the United States and typically last from six months to three years. The role remains assigned to one project from start to finish and requires relocation to the project location.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers, Superintendents, customers, and field crews in keeping projects on schedule.
• Learn to manage schedules, budgets, materials, RFIs, submittals, and logistics.
• Build relationships with customers and project teams while developing leadership skills.
• Travel to and support industrial construction project sites nationwide.

Required Experience

• Expected to graduate in December.
• Currently studying construction management, engineering, business, project management, or a related discipline.
• Strong communication, organization, motivation, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn.
• Must be willing to travel nationwide and relocate for assigned projects.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $70,000-$78,000 annually.
