Job Summary

Garney is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support pipe construction projects in the water and wastewater sector from Newport News, Virginia.

Project Details

The role supports water and wastewater construction operations, including field coordination, documentation, procurement, scheduling, and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Review shop drawings, prepare detailed drafts, and maintain as-built records.
• Assist with scheduling, material purchasing, labor-hour tracking, audits, and project reporting.
• Coordinate subcontractors and communicate with owners and design professionals.
• Visit construction sites, monitor site safety, and provide regular field updates.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Four to seven years of construction experience.
• Willingness to travel.
