Assistant Superintendent

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate subcontractors and craft teams and help manage field execution across assigned construction scopes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate labor, subcontractors, equipment, work plans, and schedules from project setup through closeout.
• Track labor reports, review timecards, and help oversee craft worker hiring, training, and performance.
• Support site orientations, safety meetings, audits, and quality control.
• Assist project managers with schedule updates, quantity takeoffs, materials coordination, and equipment needs.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of construction management or related experience.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project tools, and relevant web applications.
• Electrical circuitry qualification or ability to qualify; electrician apprenticeship or journeyman/master experience is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $95,700–$129,200, with higher ranges for specified office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan. Benefits include medical, prescription, vision and dental coverage, a 401(k) match, paid time off, insurance, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, and a gym discount.
