Assistant Superintendent

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate field crews and subcontractors within a construction discipline, supporting project execution from setup through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Oversee craft labor and subcontractors, monitor labor reports, and coordinate timecards, workforce training, evaluations, and staffing decisions.
• Coordinate equipment, labor, schedules, materials, and scope execution; assist project managers with schedule updates and project closeout.
• Support site orientations, safety meetings, audits, and worker observations, while monitoring quality and production activities.
• Review quantity takeoffs and materials management, and oversee Plan of Day activities and production initiatives.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of construction management or related experience and a current driver's license.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects from development through closeout, organize multiple tasks, and travel up to 100%.
• Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web application skills; basic knowledge of construction law and business practices.
• Electrical circuitry qualification or ability to qualify through Mortenson Electrical Managers. Master, Journeyman, or Apprentice electrician program completion or interest is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $95,700-$129,200, with higher ranges for certain listed office locations. The role is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
