Assistant Superintendent

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate and supervise subcontractors and craft workers within a construction discipline, with assignments in the North Carolina region.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project labor, monitor workforce reports, and coordinate craft worker timecards, training, and performance.
• Coordinate field operations, equipment, materials, schedules, work planning, and project closeout.
• Support safety audits and site meetings, and manage quality across self-perform and subcontractor work.
• Work with project managers on schedule development and updates.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of construction management or related experience and a current driver’s license.
• Ability to organize multiple project tasks, manage complex projects through closeout, and use Microsoft Office and relevant project applications.
• Electrical circuitry qualification or the ability to qualify; electrical apprenticeship experience is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $95,700-$129,200, with location-based adjustments in certain markets, and the role is eligible for an incentive plan.
