Assistant Superintendent

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate and oversee subcontractors and craft teams within a construction discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate labor, equipment, schedules, and scope execution, including daily planning and project closeout.
• Track labor reports, review timecards, and support craft hiring, training, evaluations, and performance management.
• Assist project managers with schedule development and updates, and coordinate equipment and materials.
• Monitor work quality and support site safety audits, orientations, and safety meetings.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of construction management or related experience, plus a current driver’s license.
• Electrical circuitry qualification or ability to obtain qualification may be required; electrician apprenticeship or journeyman/master experience is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple complex project tasks, use Microsoft Office and relevant project applications, and travel up to 100%.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $95,700-$129,200, with higher ranges for certain listed office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
