Assistant Superintendent-Structured Cabling

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate subcontractors and craft teams within the structured cabling construction discipline. The role requires up to 100% travel, with scheduled home rotations for projects more than 60 miles away.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate craft labor, subcontractors, equipment, materials, schedules, and daily work plans.
• Track labor reports, review timecards, and assist with hiring, training, and performance management of craft workers.
• Support project scheduling, safety activities, quality control, and work from project setup through closeout.
• Review scope takeoffs and material needs, and manage production and improvement activities.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of construction management or related experience and a current driver's license.
• Electrical circuitry qualification or the ability to qualify; completion of or interest in an electrician apprenticeship or journeyman/master program is preferred.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, project tools, and relevant web applications.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $95,700-$129,200, with higher ranges for certain listed office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan. Benefits include medical, prescription, vision, dental, retirement matching, paid leave, insurance, tuition reimbursement, and other programs, subject to eligibility.
