Assistant Superintendent - Wind

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate field labor and subcontractors on wind construction projects. Candidates without wind experience may start at this level to learn the trade.

Project Details

The role supports wind projects and requires nationwide travel, with regular rotations every three weeks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, schedules, and assigned scopes of work.
• Track labor reports and timecards, and support craft hiring, training, and performance management.
• Guide field work from setup through closeout, while supporting project scheduling and materials planning.
• Participate in site orientations and safety meetings, assist with safety audits, and oversee quality control.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of construction management or related experience and a current driver's license.
• Ability to travel up to 100% and manage multiple project tasks.
• Electrical experience or training is preferred; an electrician apprenticeship or journeyman program is a plus.
• Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web application skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $95,700-$129,200, with higher ranges for specified office locations. The position is eligible for an incentive plan.
