Carpenter Foreman

Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Carpenter Foreman to oversee multiple crews, coordinate subcontractor work, and maintain project safety, quality, productivity, and material readiness.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, establish layouts, determine work sequencing, and ensure crew work plans are understood.
• Assign daily tasks, supervise crews, monitor progress, and verify safety, quality, and productivity.
• Coordinate subcontractors and inspect related installations for compliance with project specifications.
• Lead concrete and rough carpentry work, including wall forms, footings, decks, slabs, columns, and drywall.
• Perform finish carpentry, door and hardware installation, cabinetry, countertops, wall panels, ceilings, and trim work.
• Order materials, manage prefabricated components, and ensure supplies are available when needed.
• Train craft workers and foremen, provide coaching, and verify daily timecards.

Required Experience

• At least 6 years of related experience.
• Ability to read plans, interpret drawings, lay out work, and operate common carpentry and formwork equipment.
• Experience with fall protection equipment, rigging, and form systems.
• Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work on active construction sites and regularly stand, walk, climb, kneel, and lift or carry materials up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation is $34-$44 per hour. Non-union craft benefits include paid time off, paid holidays, short-term disability, medical, pharmacy, vision, life insurance, a 401(k), and employee assistance and mental health resources. Visa sponsorship is not offered.
