Carpenter Foreman

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Carpenter Foreman to guide carpentry crews and oversee self-performed work on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Review work plans and blueprints with the crew, lay out work, and coordinate the sequence of fabrication, assembly, and installation.
• Assign and supervise crew tasks, check materials for code compliance, and review subcontractor installations against specifications.
• Perform and oversee rough, concrete, and finish carpentry, including formwork, doors, stairs, flooring, cabinets, trim, and related installations.
• Coach team members, lead by example, and support effective collaboration.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an apprenticeship program.
• At least five years of related experience.
• Ability to read plans, visualize structures from drawings, work precisely, and operate carpentry equipment and form systems.
• Strong teamwork, communication, customer service, and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; heavier loads require assistance or equipment.
