Civil Craft Operator Foreman - South Valley

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Civil Craft Operator Foreman in South Valley to operate heavy equipment and lead operators in accordance with project plans and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment, including dozers, loaders, scrapers, forklifts, cranes, skid-steers, aerial lifts, and rollers.
• Direct operator work, organize work sequences, and help keep crews aligned with project schedules.
• Enforce safety practices and maintain orderly work areas.
• Monitor equipment condition, perform routine maintenance, and report malfunctions.
• Support scheduling and labor-hour estimates, resolve work issues, and ensure crew timecards are complete.
• Coach team members, provide feedback, and manage performance.

Required Experience

• At least two years of related experience and equipment certifications.
• Current driver's license with the classification and endorsements required by law.
• Equipment operating knowledge, basic math skills, and ability to understand safety and equipment instructions.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a diverse team.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; heavier items require assistance or equipment.
