Job Summary

Kiewit Power Engineering is hiring an early-career Civil Engineer/Transmission Line Engineer for its Raleigh design engineering team. The role supports transmission, distribution, and substation work while developing technical skills in a collaborative EPC environment.

Project Details

Projects include power delivery infrastructure ranging from 12kV to 500kV, with assignments spanning detailed engineering and engineer-procure-construct delivery for clients across the country.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams to define scope, prepare deliverables, and communicate project updates.
• Develop transmission line criteria and model lines, poles, and towers using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS TOWER.
• Prepare structure loading packages, construction assembly drawings, material specifications, plan and profile drawings, phasing documents, and installation requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and travel periodically to support assignments.

Required Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Entry-level candidates with up to two years of relevant transmission or civil engineering experience are encouraged to apply.
• Relevant technical exposure may include route planning, structure spotting, overhead line design, lattice tower analysis, and transmission foundation design.
• Familiarity with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS TOWER, FAD Tools, or LPILE is beneficial.
• A 3.0 cumulative GPA is preferred, along with dependable attendance, effective communication, safe work practices, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
