Job Summary
Kiewit Building Group is seeking a mid-level Construction Field Engineer to support vertical construction projects through field engineering, project controls, estimating, and subcontractor coordination.
Project Details
Assignments may be based in the Seattle, Washington or Portland, Oregon metro area. The building portfolio includes offices, industrial facilities, education and sports venues, hotels, hospitals, transportation terminals, technology facilities, manufacturing, retail, and tenant improvements.
Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings, calculate installed quantities, prepare work packages, and support surveying and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate material deliveries, work groups, schedules, subcontractors, and field operations.
- Participate in safety reviews, toolbox meetings, training, and Job Hazard Analysis preparation.
- Complete takeoffs, engineering calculations, submittal support, purchase orders, subcontract administration, and project recordkeeping.
- Track labor, costs, RFIs, reports, change orders, and jobsite correspondence.
- Support estimating through plan reviews, risk assessment, historical cost analysis, and bid quantity takeoffs.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in construction-related engineering or equivalent education and experience.
- At least two years of construction experience, preferably in vertical construction.
- Working knowledge of CPM scheduling, unit man-hour performance, material control, estimating, and subcontract management.
- Leadership, communication, planning, organization, reliable attendance, and a commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as project demands require and operate across varying jobsite conditions.
Compensation and Benefits
Base compensation is $90,000-$105,000 per year. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.
