Job Summary
Kiewit Building Group is seeking a Project Engineer to manage the technical, administrative, cost, and coordination activities supporting vertical construction projects. The position is based in the Tacoma market and may involve assignments throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Project Details
The building portfolio includes offices, industrial facilities, schools and sports venues, hotels, hospitals, transportation terminals, technology facilities, manufacturing, retail, and tenant improvement work. Teams may relocate between projects in the Seattle, Tacoma, and Portland markets.
Responsibilities
- Manage project scheduling, revenue, cost, and cash-flow information.
- Coordinate temporary engineering, permanent design management, and quality control.
- Administer contracts and subcontracts and support project closeout.
- Maintain client relationships and assist with operations planning.
- Lead and develop field and cost engineering personnel.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction engineering, or a related field.
- At least eight years of construction or engineering experience, preferably in vertical construction.
- At least two years managing engineers and project subcontractors.
- Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents and identify discrepancies.
- Strong communication, organization, time-management, ethics, safety, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and work overtime or weekends when required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base compensation is $138,000-$145,000 per year. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.
