Construction Field Engineer - Industrial

Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a Construction Field Engineer to support industrial construction operations in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. This mid-level role combines field coordination, office engineering, estimating support, and subcontractor oversight on a long-duration project.

Project Details

The Kiewit Industrial District delivers complex projects across sectors such as data centers, mineral processing, energy, and water. This assignment is expected to last approximately two to three years and requires regular site presence, travel, and potential relocation.

Responsibilities

• Translate design documents into field work plans, work packages, and instructions for craft teams.
• Complete quantity takeoffs, support change-order preparation, and provide engineering assistance to field operations.
• Coordinate material ordering and deliveries while monitoring subcontractor work.
• Review project information and specifications and assist with bid preparation and estimating activities.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering is preferred; an associate degree in construction management may be considered.
• At least three years of construction experience, ideally on industrial or large-scale projects.
• Ability to travel, relocate, access varied construction environments, and work across changing site conditions.
• Strong communication, organization, initiative, safety awareness, and attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime or weekends when project demands require it.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $95,000–$105,000 per year, with compensation dependent on qualifications and location. Relocation assistance or per diem options may be available.
