Job Summary

Kiewit Building Group is seeking a Construction Field Engineer to support project engineering, field operations, project controls, and estimating activities at a project site in Aiken, South Carolina. The role suits a mid-level construction professional who communicates well, works carefully, and is motivated to grow in building and infrastructure construction.

Project Details

Kiewit Building Group delivers office, industrial, education, hospitality, healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, retail, technology, and tenant improvement projects using general construction, construction management, design-build, and related delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction documents, complete quantity measurements and takeoffs, and support layout, surveying, and as-built documentation.
• Prepare work plans, job hazard analyses, submittal information, project records, daily reports, RFIs, and correspondence.
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, deliveries, schedules, and field activities while supporting safe jobsite operations.
• Track labor, costs, schedules, change orders, purchase orders, and subcontract information with project management.
• Assist with estimating, bid document reviews, production analysis, risk identification, and technical calculations.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related engineering or equivalent education and experience.
• At least two years of construction experience, preferably in vertical construction.
• Working knowledge of CPM scheduling, unit man-hour performance, material control, estimating, and subcontracts.
• Demonstrated communication, planning, organization, leadership, and people-management skills.
• Ability to work safely, meet deadlines, maintain reliable attendance, and work overtime or weekends as needed.
