Construction Project Engineer

Job Summary

The Weitz Company is hiring a Construction Project Engineer in Houston to support project documentation, coordination, schedule management, and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Maintain construction documents, drawings, project logs, and meeting records.
• Coordinate RFIs, review submittals, monitor deliveries, and assist with inspections and compliance tracking.
• Support subcontract scopes, change requests, pricing, change orders, and project schedule management.
• Coordinate closeout information, punch lists, as-built drawings, and warranty activities.

Required Experience

• At least two years of project engineering experience and an industry-related college degree.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment; data center experience is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Apple devices; Procore, JDE, and Asta experience is preferred.
• Strong organization, communication, negotiation, prioritization, and relationship-building skills.
