Project/Field Engineer

Job Summary

Support project managers and superintendents with field coordination, construction problem-solving, project documentation, and communication with trade partners and clients. The position is based in Dallas and includes site visits.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications, review shop drawings, and help coordinate subcontractor agreements.
• Track field requests, changes, project metrics, costs, schedules, and supplied materials; prepare updates and reports.
• Support bid packages, estimates, change orders, punch lists, meetings, and client and subcontractor communication.
• Help implement site safety practices and monitor quality program compliance.
• Maintain project records, including time sheets and trade contractor and supplier logs.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or relevant construction experience.
• Experience in design, estimating, or field supervision is preferred; exposure to project accounting and contracts is also preferred.
• Ability to read building plans and specifications and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Prolog.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain it, along with the ability to meet company safety requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands, work in varied climate conditions, and travel to project sites up to 70+ miles away.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated annual pay is $64,000-$96,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, HSA, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, tuition assistance, and an employee referral bonus.
