Construction Project Manager I and II - Solar

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring Project Managers at Level I and Level II to oversee solar construction projects, guide project teams, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Project Details

The role focuses on solar construction. Project Manager II candidates must have experience with large projects valued at $20 million or more.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, financial forecasts, contracts, trade partners, suppliers, and owner billings.
• Lead Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, assign work, and support their development.
• Serve as the primary owner contact, manage change orders, and address site concerns.
• Maintain project schedule and budget while overseeing quality, risk, safety, and compliance.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Project Manager I: at least six years of construction management or related experience.
• Project Manager II: at least seven years of construction management or related experience, including large projects valued at $20 million or more.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project tools, and relevant web applications; knowledge of construction law and business practices.

Compensation and Benefits

Project Manager I base pay is $113,500–$170,300; Project Manager II base pay is $132,100–$198,200. Pay may be adjusted for certain office locations and is based on experience, skills, and other factors. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
