Construction Superintendent

Job Summary

Kirby Nagelhout Construction Co. is seeking a Superintendent to lead commercial construction operations from preconstruction through project closeout, coordinating with the project team on safety, quality, schedule, and budget.

Project Details

The contractor builds a range of commercial projects, including schools, resorts, and fire stations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and develop site crews and foremen, plan staffing and resources, and monitor field performance.
• Oversee site safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, and temporary site services.
• Review construction documents for constructability and help manage schedules, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and quality.
• Coordinate project meetings with owners, architects, contractors, subcontractors, and trade leads.

Required Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management and/or 8–10 years of construction management experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project or P6, Bluebeam, Procore or Sage, and PowerPoint or Prezi.
• BIM, Navisworks, or Autodesk experience is a plus.
• Strong time management, attention to detail, customer service, and professional communication skills.
• Current driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
