Construction Superintendent (Eastern Oregon)

Job Summary

Lead field operations for commercial construction projects in Eastern Oregon, guiding work from preconstruction through closeout while coordinating with the broader project team.

Project Details

The contractor delivers commercial buildings, including schools, resorts, and fire stations. Projects are based across the Pendleton Division region, extending from Hood River, Oregon to Boise, Idaho.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop site crews, manage foremen, plan staffing, and monitor self-perform work.
• Maintain jobsite safety and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, site logistics, and temporary facilities.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability; contribute to scope clarifications.
• Work with the project team on the master schedule and five-week look-ahead, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and quality.
• Lead or participate in owner, architect, contractor, subcontractor, and trade meetings.

Required Experience

• A bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management and/or 8–10 years of construction management experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project or P6, Bluebeam, Procore or Sage, and PowerPoint or Prezi.
• BIM, Navisworks, or Autodesk experience is a plus.
• Strong time management, attention to detail, customer service, and professional communication.
• Current driver's license and an insurable driving record; willingness to travel within the division region.
