Cost Control - Project Manager

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Project Manager to oversee project cost and financial controls while supporting quality, schedule, safety, team development, and customer relationships.

Project Details

The role may suit candidates with experience in commercial construction, renewable energy, EPC contracting, or emerging technologies. Mortenson operates across markets including sports, renewable energy, data centers, and healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project finances, forecasts, equipment projections, budgets, cost codes, invoices, and billings.
• Support EPC negotiations and lead procurement and award activities for major subcontractors and suppliers.
• Administer contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and monthly owner billing.
• Guide Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, including reviewing timecards and providing feedback.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least six years of related experience and demonstrated ability to support complex projects.
• Working knowledge of construction law and business practices, strong organizational and customer service skills, and intermediate Microsoft Office and project application skills.
• Current driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $113,500-$170,300 per year, with location-based increases for select offices. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
