Crushing Superintendent - Heavy Civil Construction

Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a Crushing Superintendent to lead aggregate production and heavy civil field operations from its South Central District. The role directs crushing crews and plant activities while maintaining safe, productive, compliant, and cost-effective operations.

Project Details

The initial assignment is based at a construction site in Study Butte, Texas, supporting infrastructure work across Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. The district delivers heavy civil, transportation, water resource, utility, grading, drainage, and paving projects, including infrastructure supporting data centers and energy reliability.

Responsibilities

• Direct crushing, screening, conveying, stockpiling, pit, and quarry production.
• Coordinate drilling, blasting, plant configuration, material quality, and aggregate processing.
• Plan production, labor, equipment, materials, facilities, and tools against project schedules.
• Track production rates, budgets, labor hours, and costs, adjusting operations to meet targets.
• Coordinate material delivery and field execution with project managers, construction managers, superintendents, and engineers.
• Lead crews while maintaining safety, environmental, quality, and productivity standards.

Required Experience

• 5–15+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, aggregates, mining, quarrying, or crushing operations.
• At least two years supervising crushing or aggregate production operations.
• Strong knowledge of jaw, cone, impact, and VSI crushers, screens, conveyors, and related plant systems.
• Experience with aggregate specifications, quality control, scheduling, budgeting, and cost management.
• Drill-and-blast experience is preferred; bilingual communication skills are a plus.
• Experience leading non-union craft labor and willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
