Electrical Superintendent I or II - Cabling - Industrial

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an Electrical Superintendent to coordinate and lead field teams and contractors responsible for electrical construction work.

Project Details

The role covers industrial electrical work, including high- and medium-voltage cabling, transmission and collection lines, wind turbine construction, and substations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate electrical field work, schedules, resources, and site logistics.
• Oversee cable installation, splicing, termination, testing, and electrical subcontractor activities.
• Review drawings, submittals, and constructability with engineering staff; help ensure work meets plans and specifications.
• Monitor quality, safety, and productivity, and maintain project quality documentation and work instructions.
• Coordinate project grid connections and communicate with field engineers, contractors, and craft teams.
• Coach and develop field personnel, support staffing decisions, and provide work direction.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 12 years of experience with high- and medium-voltage equipment and cable, transmission or collection lines, and substation construction.
• At least 15 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of NESC, NEC, IEEE, NEMA, OSHA standards, electrical testing methods, drawings, and power systems.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web application skills; current driver’s license and ability to travel.

Compensation and Benefits
