Electrical Superintendent - Industrial

Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead self-perform electrical construction teams on industrial and water projects throughout the United States. The role oversees field execution, develops craft employees, and coordinates electrical work with engineering, contractors, suppliers, and project leadership.

Project Details

The Industrial District delivers direct-hire construction services across data centers, mineral processing, energy, and water projects, ranging from smaller capital improvements to major EPC work. This position is assigned to project sites and requires nationwide mobility.

Responsibilities

• Direct electrical work, foremen, and craft personnel while managing safety, quality, productivity, costs, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate construction drawings, engineering issues, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, clients, and other superintendents.
• Plan labor, materials, equipment, inspections, and short- and long-range work schedules.
• Address field conflicts and scheduling issues, provide safety training, and enforce company policies and project procedures.
• Maintain quality standards, oversee cost controls, and support effective project execution.

Required Experience

• At least five years of self-perform construction experience, including three or more years as a superintendent managing electrical foremen and craft employees.
• At least three years of electrical construction experience and knowledge of state journeyman-to-apprentice licensing ratios.
• Advanced understanding of construction safety, scheduling, cost control, drawings, procurement, and estimating.
• Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, problem-solving, and craft supervision skills.
• Reliable attendance, ability to meet deadlines, and willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
