Energy Storage-Project Engineer

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Project Engineer to support field coordination and project execution for its energy storage group. The role works with project teams and field partners across changing project needs.

Project Details

Energy storage projects are located in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, and California. The position requires 100% travel.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications, coordinate field issues, and support project schedules.
• Administer permits, contract documents, RFIs, change orders, submittals, and subcontractor documentation.
• Manage quality plans, inspections, testing records, non-conformance items, and project closeout processes.
• Coordinate safety and compliance, maintain as-built documents, and support field engineers.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management.
• At least two years of related construction experience.
• Current driver’s license and strong organization, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of construction law and standard business practices.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $84,100-$113,500, with adjusted ranges for certain office locations, and the position is eligible for an incentive plan.
