Field Engineer

Job Summary

McShane Construction Company is hiring a Field Engineer to support on-site project execution, working alongside the Project Superintendent on safety, subcontractor coordination, quality, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Support daily site operations, subcontractor coordination, safety compliance, inspections, and quality control.
• Help maintain project records, site meeting notes, and progress documentation.
• Coordinate materials and equipment, track schedule needs, and promptly raise risks or discrepancies.
• Use construction management software and Microsoft Office to manage correction lists and project information.
• Build effective working relationships with clients, design consultants, trade partners, and inspectors.

Required Experience

• 0–2 years of construction management experience.
• Proficiency with Salus, PlanGrid, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read construction drawings and communicate with clients, design consultants, and trade partners.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.

Compensation and Benefits

$78,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus, cell phone allowance, health, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match and profit sharing, company-paid life and disability insurance, student loan assistance, 15 PTO days, and paid parental leave.
