Field Engineer Midwest Region

Job Summary

Granite is hiring a Midwest Region Field Engineer to provide engineering and cost support and help ensure construction work meets project standards.

Responsibilities

• Support project controls, including contract compliance, budgets, scheduling, forecasting, and job costing.
• Interpret plans and specifications for field crews and help resolve drawing conflicts and technical issues.
• Prepare project records, take-offs, estimates, sketches, and supporting bid documentation.
• Coordinate material requirements, delivery schedules, and design details, and provide field layout support.

Required Experience

• Zero to two years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent training and experience may qualify.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling, and AGTEK Take-off software.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, materials, and applicable standards.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range of $69,557 to $104,334. Benefits include paid leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending options, wellness programs, and a 401(k) match of 100% on the first 6% of eligible compensation deferred, with immediate vesting. Eligible salaried employees may have access to medical plans with premiums fully paid by Granite for the employee and eligible dependents.
