Project Engineer (Heavy Civil Construction)

Job Summary

Granite Construction is hiring a Project Engineer to coordinate and oversee onsite engineering work for heavy civil construction projects in Tucson, Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Track project budgets, forecasts, costs, contracts, and schedules.
• Coordinate engineering assignments and help ensure project work meets schedule and company requirements.
• Support construction planning, quality control, design interpretation, constructability reviews, and resolution of design conflicts.
• Maintain project procedures, reports, and logs; represent the company in client and project meetings.
• Guide and mentor project staff and support corporate safety initiatives.

Required Experience

• At least four years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent training and experience may qualify.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AGTEK Take-off, and Primavera Scheduling.
• Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards, with strong communication and team-management skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $72,355-$108,534, depending on experience, skills, location, and education. Benefits include paid leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending options, wellness programs, and a 401(k) with a 100% match on the first 6% of eligible compensation deferred by salaried employees.
