Job Summary

Interstates is seeking a Field Engineer Team Lead to guide and develop technical staff supporting electrical construction work. The position emphasizes coaching, workforce readiness, and team development alongside technical support.

Project Details

Support complex electrical construction projects for industrial facilities. Positions are available in Omaha, Nebraska; Fort Collins, Colorado; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

Coach field engineers and technical professionals, provide feedback, and help plan their career development.
Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and talent decisions.
Coordinate assignments with project and market leaders, balancing workload and employee development.
Provide technical guidance in electrical construction, field engineering, documentation, and project execution.
Support workforce planning, cross-training, process improvements, and field coordination.

Required Experience

High school diploma or associate degree in a related field, such as engineering technology, construction management, or electrical technology.
Four to ten years of progressive experience in field engineering, electrical construction, VDC/BIM, design, planning, or a related area.
Strong communication, coaching, and decision-making skills, with an interest in developing people and teams.
A bachelor's degree, technical team leadership experience, advanced technology proficiency, and experience with complex electrical projects are preferred.
