Field Engineer - Tunnel Division

Job Summary

Granite Construction is hiring a Field Engineer to provide engineering and cost support and help ensure construction work meets applicable standards.

Project Details

This role supports the Tunnel Division in Cleveland, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Support project controls, including contract compliance, budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and job costing.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications, resolve design conflicts, and prepare project documentation and sketches.
• Coordinate material requirements and construction schedules, and provide field layout lines and elevations.
• Develop quantity takeoffs, cost and labor data, estimates, and bid support using historical productivity information.

Required Experience

• 0–2 years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent training and experience may be considered.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling, and AGTEK Take-off software.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, materials, and applicable standards; ability to perform trigonometric calculations.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $62,933–$94,397. Benefits include paid holidays and sick leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, wellness programs, and a 401(k) match for eligible salaried employees.
