Foreman

Job Summary

Lead construction crews and perform skilled craftwork across carpentry, concrete, steel, and millwright activities. The Foreman coordinates field tasks and supports project execution when a Job Superintendent is unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Assign and monitor work for skilled workers, construction workers, and laborers.
• Coordinate crew activities, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and inventory to support schedule performance.
• Communicate project changes and objectives, including through client meetings.
• Inspect work for compliance with specifications and schedules.
• Maintain self-performed work schedules and contribute to three-week look-ahead planning.
• Operate and maintain equipment and schedule preventive maintenance.

Required Experience

• Four to six years of construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with carpentry, concrete, steel erection, layout, equipment operation, and skilled craft techniques.
• Ability to coordinate crews, read blueprints and engineering plans, manage materials, and solve jobsite problems.
• Valid driver's license and compliance with company motor vehicle record standards.
• Knowledge of work-zone safety and OSHA jobsite regulations.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, driving, pushing, pulling, lifting, and hand use.
• Ability to perform heavy work involving up to 75 pounds occasionally with team assistance, 40 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
• Work may involve mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, dust, chemicals, oils, harsh weather, confined spaces, poor lighting, and loud noise.
