Job Summary
Black & Veatch is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to support automation, instrumentation, control, and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities. The role sits within the global I&C Department and covers a full range of services from conceptual design through commissioning and construction support.
Project Details
Work spans water and wastewater infrastructure projects of varying scale, from community-level improvements to large multi-discipline Mega Projects, with I&C scope including control systems, wireless communications, networks, and cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design, and construction phase services for I&C and SCADA projects.
- Lead I&C design execution and coordinate engineering efforts on large multi-discipline projects.
- Interface with client representatives and contractors, attend factory acceptance testing, and resolve field issues.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, and assist with proposals and presentations.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
- 4 years of experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting preferred.
- 4 years of experience in the water/wastewater industry preferred.
- 2 years of project management and business development experience preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred or actively pursuing registration.
