Job Summary

PCL Construction Services is seeking an Integrated Construction Technology (VDC) Specialist in Minneapolis to support virtual design, construction technology, and model coordination across project teams.

Project Details

The role supports innovative infrastructure projects and integrates virtual construction tools into project planning, estimating, coordination, and field operations.

Responsibilities

• Build, review, validate, and maintain multidisciplinary construction models from drawings, specifications, and elevations.
• Develop site logistics models and support trade detailing, design deliverables, and model coordination.
• Assist with VDC scopes, contract language, BIM execution plans, and model compliance reviews.
• Facilitate trade partner coordination, manage deliverables, and communicate issues to project management.
• Create BIM-related RFIs, promote virtual construction processes, and help teams adopt new technology.

Required Experience

• Degree, diploma, or two-year certificate in architecture, engineering, construction, civil, or a related buildings-industry discipline.
• Two to four years of construction experience, including one to two years in virtual design and construction.
• Working knowledge of construction sequencing, model management, building components, and 2D/3D construction documents.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling tools such as Revit, Navisworks, or Civil 3D, plus exposure to 4D scheduling tools such as Synchro or cmBuilder.
• Ability to coordinate trade partner models, lead coordination meetings, prepare markups, and support RFI documentation.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.

Compensation and Benefits
