Job Summary
JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group is hiring an ME Engineer 2 (Electrical) to support mission critical construction projects — including data centers and semiconductor facilities — across the country. This role sits within a high-performing team focused on large-scale industrial and advanced manufacturing work.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical and electrical coordination processes on assigned projects.
- Generate, issue, and execute Commissioning Plans, including pre-functional checklists and functional testing.
- Review shop drawings and submittals from subcontractors before submission to the design team.
- Provide budgetary M/E estimates using automated estimating systems based on program and schematic design information.
- Perform site inspections and submit reports to the project team.
- Develop constructability reviews and mechanical/electrical schedules.
- Participate in all construction phases from startup through closeout.
- Assist in bid analysis and subcontractor selection, and develop scopes of work for the bid process.
- May represent mechanical/electrical expertise in job pursuit presentations.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of construction and/or engineering experience.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and basic JE Dunn M/E tools and software.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to collaborate across internal and external teams.
