MEP Proeject Manager- Building Controls

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking an MEP Project Manager focused on building controls to support mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities in Charlotte. The role works with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and design partners from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical and electrical systems, scopes, schedules, sequencing, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare MEP estimates, systems analyses, bid reviews, constructability reports, and subcontractor recommendations.
• Review plans, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals for compliance and quality.
• Conduct site inspections and support testing, startup, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Communicate work products to clients and collaborate with internal and external project partners.
• Support safety, quality, and injury-free workplace initiatives.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least two years of construction and/or engineering experience.
• Ability to interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of construction management methods and basic mechanical/electrical construction tools and software.
