MEP Project Manager I

Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking an MEP Project Manager I to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes, guiding project execution and developing strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project finances, estimates, forecasts, budgets, cost codes, invoices, billings, contracts, and change orders.
• Coordinate trade partners and suppliers, and manage 3-D coordination, commissioning, project schedule, safety, quality, risk, and compliance.
• Lead project closeout and manage assistant project managers and project engineers, including assignments, development, and performance feedback.
• Serve as the primary contact for owners and site representatives, resolving concerns and supporting positive customer relationships.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent field experience.
• At least six years of construction management experience; mechanical or electrical contractor experience is preferred.
• Experience managing complex projects from development through closeout.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web application skills; knowledge of construction law and business practices.
• Current driver’s license, strong organizational skills, and a professional customer-service approach.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $113,500-$170,300, with higher ranges for certain listed office locations, and the role is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
