Piping Superintendent - Industrial

Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a Piping Superintendent to lead self-performed piping construction and field supervision for complex industrial projects. The role oversees craft teams, coordinates with project stakeholders, and drives safe, efficient, high-quality execution.

Project Details

The position is based in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, on a project expected to run for 2–3 years. Kiewit's Industrial District delivers work across data centers, mineral processing, energy, water, refineries, petrochemical facilities, and manufacturing plants throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Direct piping foremen and craft personnel while managing productivity, safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate field engineering, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, clients, and other superintendents.
• Plan labor, materials, equipment, sequencing, budgets, inspections, testing, and detailed lookahead schedules.
• Resolve field engineering issues, workforce concerns, and coordination challenges.
• Train personnel and enforce project safety, quality, conduct, and compliance requirements.

Required Experience

• At least 5 years of self-perform construction experience, including 3 or more years supervising piping or mechanical craft teams.
• At least 3 years of piping construction experience.
• Knowledge of journeyman-to-apprentice ratio requirements and construction safety, scheduling, cost control, drawings, procurement, and estimating.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends, maintain reliable attendance, and travel or relocate to varying project locations.
