Job Summary

Kiewit is hiring a Piping Superintendent to lead self-perform piping construction teams within its Industrial District. This role oversees field execution, craft supervision, safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance on complex industrial work.

Project Details

The initial project is based in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, with work potentially spanning refineries, petrochemical facilities, manufacturing plants, data centers, mineral processing, energy, and water projects. The assignment requires site presence for approximately two to three years, with future opportunities at locations across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Direct foremen and piping craft personnel while managing installation activities and daily field performance.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, clients, and other superintendents.
  • Resolve field engineering, workforce, sequencing, and labor issues affecting construction progress.
  • Plan piping labor, materials, equipment, budgets, inspections, testing, and lookahead schedules.
  • Enforce safety, quality, code, client, and company requirements across the piping scope.
  • Coach and develop craft employees while promoting safe and productive jobsite operations.

Required Experience

  • At least five years of self-perform construction experience, including three or more years supervising foremen and piping or mechanical craft workers.
  • At least three years of piping construction experience.
  • Knowledge of journeyman-to-apprentice ratio requirements and state licensing rules for piping work.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, procurement, and estimating.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, mentoring, and craft performance evaluation skills.
  • Availability for overtime, weekends, varied jobsite conditions, and assignments at different locations.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $108,000-$150,000 per year. Kiewit provides per diem or relocation assistance for eligible project assignments, trips home, and full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellness and assistance programs, life and disability insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.
