Plumbing Field Engineer

Job Summary

WDF Inc., a Tutor Perini company, is hiring a Plumbing Field Engineer to support plumbing work at project sites in Mount Vernon and the New York metro area.

Project Details

WDF performs plumbing, sprinkler, and specialty general construction across public and private-sector projects. Its New York portfolio includes major commercial and institutional properties such as Rockefeller Center, Lincoln Center, Yankee Stadium, and Madison Square Garden.

Responsibilities

• Review plumbing plans and submittals, coordinate design questions with project teams, and assist with layout and MEP BIM coordination.
• Monitor field installation, perform quality checks, maintain progress records, and track deliveries.
• Help manage schedules, cost tracking, change documentation, and subcontractor billing verification.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, closeout documentation, and turnover materials.
• Promote site safety and verify work complies with applicable codes and regulations.

Required Experience

• High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
• At least two years of plumbing or MEP construction experience, including field or project engineering.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems, construction documents, submittals, plumbing codes, and commissioning practices.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Experience with a general contractor or large mechanical subcontractor is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $85,000-$105,000, depending on experience.
