Job Summary

EPI Power is seeking a Prefabrication Shop Project Manager to coordinate electrical prefab work for fast-track data center construction. This onsite role is based in the Des Moines prefabrication shop and requires regular collaboration with shop production teams and field project personnel.

Project Details

The position supports electrical prefabrication for data center projects, including production planning, drawing coordination, assembly sequencing, and installation readiness. Work is primarily performed in the prefab facility, with periodic project-site visits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead prefab kickoff meetings and establish project-specific scope.
  • Maintain production schedules tied to field installation milestones.
  • Coordinate detailing priorities, drawing completion, material needs, and assembly sequencing.
  • Review construction documents for constructability and installation alignment.
  • Track labor hours against budgets and coordinate changes and pricing within delegated authority.
  • Facilitate coordination between field teams, shop leadership, and production personnel.
  • Inspect assemblies for completeness and installation readiness.
  • Identify production risks involving schedule, detailing, or materials and escalate them appropriately.
  • Align weekly priorities with Shop Superintendents and gather field feedback through site visits.

Required Experience

  • At least three years of field construction experience.
  • Experience as a Foreman, Lead Installer, Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar construction role is preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of construction means and methods and credibility with craft labor.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
  • Bluebeam, Revit, CAD, or similar software experience is preferred for drawing review.
  • Must be comfortable working hands-on in a production environment and managing changing priorities.
