Job Summary

Kiewit Building Group is seeking a senior-level Project Construction Superintendent to lead field execution for vertical building projects in Omaha and surrounding areas. This role directs craft operations while protecting safety, quality, schedule, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Direct craft personnel and evaluate performance against productivity, safety, quality, and schedule expectations.
• Connect field engineering with construction crews to support accurate execution of drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate superintendents, subcontractors, project staff, and leadership to maintain efficient workflow.
• Address workforce conflicts, scheduling challenges, and employee concerns with appropriate management involvement.
• Support planning for schedules, labor, materials, and equipment.
• Enforce project procedures and workplace standards, including safety and attendance requirements.

Required Experience

• At least seven years of construction experience, including five or more years in supervision.
• Demonstrated experience in vertical building construction and broad knowledge of construction disciplines.
• Working knowledge of union agreements, jurisdictional matters, safety requirements, scheduling, cost control, and engineering documents.
• Strong craft supervision, communication, organization, initiative, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
• Reliable attendance, safe work practices, and willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
• Ability to travel and relocate based on project and career needs.
