Project Controls Manager Advanced Technology

Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a senior Project Controls Manager to lead controls functions and teams supporting complex advanced technology and industrial projects. The role partners with project and district leaders to improve forecasting, reporting, and execution visibility.

Project Details

Kiewit Industrial delivers engineering, procurement, and construction services across advanced technology, industrial manufacturing, process, energy, and other mission-critical markets. The position may be assigned to an office or project site based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls teams across cost, scheduling, progress measurement, and reporting.
• Integrate budget, quantity, labor, productivity, cost, and schedule information for forecasting and performance analysis.
• Direct weekly and monthly reporting, dashboards, trend reviews, executive summaries, and risk mitigation recommendations.
• Review critical paths, forecast schedules, validate progress, and support recovery planning.
• Evaluate cost and schedule effects of changes and communicate corrective actions to project leadership.
• Improve project controls systems, data quality, processes, and reporting standards across project teams.
• Coordinate with estimating, engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and business management during project execution.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Progressive project controls experience on large industrial or EPC projects, preferably in advanced technology, manufacturing, or mission-critical construction.
• Experience leading and developing project controls teams across cost, scheduling, progress, and reporting functions.
• Knowledge of integrated controls platforms, preferably InEight, along with Primavera P6 and executive reporting tools.
• Experience with forecasting, earned value, change management, productivity analysis, trend management, and performance reporting.
• Preferred experience with Power BI, advanced Excel, process standardization, and mentoring controls professionals.
• Strong communication, leadership, executive presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation is $125,000-$150,000 per year. Full-time benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, wellness and employee assistance programs, life and disability insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.
