Project Director

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Director in Omaha to provide executive leadership across assigned construction programs, with accountability for operational performance, financial results, team development, client relationships, contracting, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Direct work programs through preconstruction, project execution, schedule review, closeout, and related lifecycle phases.
• Lead safety performance, incident response, corrective actions, and an injury-free workplace culture.
• Manage client relationships, subcontractor strategy, contract issues, change orders, project risks, staffing, budgets, and profitability.
• Guide estimating, constructability, schedules, business planning, resource allocation, and project reviews.
• Support company strategy, operational initiatives, diversity and inclusion, and community and industry engagement.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of people management experience is required.
• Preferred background includes 15 or more years of construction management experience.
• Demonstrated success leading multiple large or complex projects or teams at the same time.
• Advanced capability in communication, presentations, project management, accounting software such as CMiC, construction technology, Lean methods, estimating, productivity analysis, budgeting, and risk management.

Compensation and Benefits

This position is classified within JE Dunn’s Professional Non-Union benefits package. The role may require overnight travel and non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
