Project Engineer 1

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer 1 to support field execution and construction management activities in Mesa. The role provides hands-on exposure to project coordination, quality, safety, documentation, and closeout processes.

Responsibilities

• Support site operations, self-perform work tracking, punch lists, inspections, safety reviews, and quality activities.
• Maintain current drawings and specifications, procurement logs, submittal tracking, delivery updates, and project reports.
• Assist with estimating, change management, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor proposal reviews, scheduling updates, and project closeout.
• Participate in project meetings, site observations, Lean initiatives, and coordination with trades, subcontractors, and project leadership.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Entry-level construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction technology, means and methods, self-perform operations, labor productivity, and Lean principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, organization, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in changing outdoor conditions and non-traditional hours when required.
