Project Engineer

Job Summary

Ames Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support project management and field teams with the technical and administrative work required to deliver construction projects.

Project Details

The initial assignment is in Farmington, New Mexico. Ames works on heavy civil and infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, mines, dams, and rail. Future assignments may be located nationally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, superintendents, owners, designers, subcontractors, and field crews.
• Review drawings, submittals, and schedules; process requests for information and maintain project records.
• Support project layout, quality, safety, environmental programs, material procurement, deliveries, and inventory.
• Assist with billings, cash-flow projections, change orders, and resolution of field issues.
• Maintain as-built documents and manuals, and participate in project meetings.

Required Experience

• At least three years of construction experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Primavera and proficiency with Microsoft applications and Outlook.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform physical tasks in a construction-site environment.
