Project Engineer

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services is seeking a Project Engineer for its Minneapolis office. This role supports project delivery through subcontract coordination, document control, cost and schedule tracking, quality management, and closeout activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trade partner scopes, subcontract administration, inquiries, progress, and contract documentation.
• Support change pricing and change order reviews, including cost and schedule impact assessments.
• Manage RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, as-built records, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, designers, and trade partners on safety, cost, schedule, quality, and constructability matters.
• Prepare progress claims and estimates, track materials and equipment, and expedite orders.
• Assist with inspections, code and authority requirements, deficiency resolution, warranty documentation, and project closeout.

Required Experience

• One to three years of construction experience in an operational role is preferred.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, methods, drawings, specifications, HSE, quality, materials, and applicable standards.
• Ability to apply basic engineering and problem-solving principles, build schedules, coordinate subcontracts, and manage competing priorities.
• Effective communication skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and operational software; willingness to learn new technology.

Compensation and Benefits
